Karaka Alpaca B&B Farmstay

Our 11-acre farm has alpacas, Buster the cat, horses and sheep as well as stunning views over the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean. Located less than a 5 min drive to Dunedin’s iconic Tunnel beach, where you can explore rocky coastlines and a hand carved rock tunnel. Breakfast included, consists of freshly homemade bread, a selection of spreads, muesli, fruit, yogurt and hot drinks.

We renovated a 158-year-old historic building in downtown Dunedin and turned it into a European-style apartment. The location is ideal for exploring the city: one block to the Octagon, the beating heart of Dunedin, the apartment is perched above a working ceramic studio and is handily placed between the Dowling Street galleries and Moray Place. Cafés, restaurants, and charming bars abound. Complimentary one-hour introduction to wheel-thrown ceramics is offered to interested guests.

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. No children sorry!

Close to the waters edge, our sunny and charming self-contained guesthouse can sleep up to 5 guests. The property is located in the small community of Broad Bay in the heart of the Otago Peninsula, a 20 min drive away from Dunedin and with easy access to all the Peninsula attractions. The owners are a friendly family who can speak German. We love hosting guests from all around the world as much as we love to travel ourselves :-)
