The Highland Haven, converted barn, John O'Groats

The Highland Haven is perfect for those travelling the NC500 or visiting Orkney in a group. Our two rooms have traditional box beds and can sleep up to 10 (4 in one room, 6 in the other), each with Ensuite and an extra wet room. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining, lounging area surrounding a wood burner. We have secure parking, free laundry facilities and WIFI . Our location is stunning and full of wildlife. Owned by Joyce Campbell, a prominent Scottish hill farmer and shepherdess widely recognised for her appearance on the BBC series 'This Farming Life', this gorgeous wee home has been renovated to encapsulate the traditional Scottish feel which we know our guests can't get enough of. Fluffy sheepskin throws, soft furnishings made from wool from the flock, a cosy wood burning stove - all within walking distance of the beach, makes this delightful cottage a perfect home for your Scottish getaway.

Friendly farm stay cottage, entire place no share.

Cosy up in a large cottage for a night or for a few nights! This roomy place is surrounded by incredible scenery & on the NC500, close to beaches & set next to a river. This spacious cottage lets out 2 bedrooms, with use of the whole place. One room has a double bed & it's own bathroom. The 2nd bedroom sleeps 1 & has a single bed. Sleeping up to 3 people in total. We're dog friendly and the cottage has a living area, t.v area, kitchen, pool table, laundry, fenced garden and privacy.

Taigh Neonach is Gaelic for odd cottage which suits its slightly unconventional character. A fantastic base to explore the North of Scotland, whether you are touring the NC500, relaxing in the quiet wilderness of Caithness, doing a spot of fishing, shooting, walking, cycling... the choices are endless like the views!
