This sweet post & beam house is located near town yet private and tucked away in the woods, cozy & comfortable, pet friendly, close to ATV & snowmobile trails, and Baxter State Park, Katadhin Woods and Water, plus numerous lakes and the beautiful Penobscot River. The house can comfortably sleep up to 6 people. The living area is open and sunny with a big kitchen. There is plenty of parking for recreational trailers. Come enjoy a rewarding climb up Katahdin or grab a book and read on the deck.

Family Friendly Lakefront Cottage, Ambajejus Lake

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. This is a large (1600 sq. ft.) kid friendly cottage that has all of the conveniences of a home with the beauty and charm of a lakefront cabin. The construction was finished in 2024 so everything is new including the furniture and appliances. The cabin waterfront is in a shallow cove. The depth at the end of the dock is less than 3 feet making it a good place for wading and exploring for kids. Water shoes recommended.

It’s 15 minutes from Millinocket and approximately 45 minutes to Baxter State Park. The cottage is well equipped and has all new appliances, an eat-in kitchen as well as a gas and charcoal grill outside. Trailside cabin with lots of opportunity! Hiking, Hunting, Fishing, Swimming, and ATV/Snowmobile trail runs right through property. Moosehead Lake, Greenville, The Forks, Bingham, The Windmills all close by. The Appalachian Trail borders the property. Hike Borestone Mtn, Barren Mtn, Big Squaw, or the AT. Town beach is also close by for swimming in Lake Hebron. Park your truck and ride your ATV/Snowmobile to several restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, lakes, and mountains.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Take a hike down one of the trails out back, or swim in the cool clear water of the spring fed pond off the back porch. Cozy up during a storm by the fire with a good book, or wet a line on a clear morning off the back steps and catch supper! It’s all in one comfy cabin property to get away from it all. Only a few miles to Dover-Foxcroft, or Sebec Lake. Far enough away to get away, but close enough to the amenities and sights.

Windy Point Cottage is a full amenity waterfront cottage. Located on Ambajejus Lake, we are only 8 miles outside of Millinocket and about 15 to Baxter State Park. Enjoy the use of our beach and kayaks and then relax on the wrap around deck and watch our amazing sunsets. We also have a fire pit/wood for those nights of sitting around a fire telling stories and creating memories. A gas grill and picnic table are also on premises as well as a screened gazebo.
