Loch Ness Hideaways - Silver Birch Chalet

Silver Birch Chalet on our 15 acre croft, is tucked away in the hills 2 miles from the south side of Loch Ness. It has a steep access path & may not suit those with walking difficulties. Walk across our fields, to forest paths, you will rarely meet anyone except for deer. BBQ & outdoor seating. If you like to be very close to pubs, cafes, shops, etc - this place is not for you. If you like seclusion, great scenery & wildlife, & somewhere you can bring the family dog - we hope you'll love it!

Steeped in history the local area offers numerous opportunities to delve into Scotland's past by visiting such sites as Culloden Moor, Clava Cairns and the many castles and brochs.

Urquhart Bay Barn

Urquhart Bay Barn, situated at the Urquhart Bay Viewpoint, is a charming and spacious self-catering renovation, with two bedrooms (one can be either two single beds or a king size bed), completed to a very high standard, with stunning views across Loch Ness and Glen Urquhart from the dining area window and gardens. We are just a few minutes walk from the iconic Urquhart Castle. The Barn itself is built with stone taken from Urquhart Castle in the late 1800s.

Unlike many Loch Ness cottages, we are not on a road, just the garden between us and the Loch. The brewery sits on one side with organic farmland, farmhouse and vegetable patch on the other. You are 10 minutes from Inverness by car and 20 minutes from Inverness airport. Please note that the hut doesn't have wifi but we have books and games to keep you
