Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. Peaceful grassy retreat in the heart of Upper Michigan. Recharge in this relaxing country setting in a Rustic 12 X 20 Cabin. You also have access to our full size kitchen, bath house and outdoor shower. The cabin has a full bathroom. Frequent sightings of deer, turkeys and other wildlife among the many fruit and berry trees are common in the camps. Snow has arrived❄️ bring your winter toys. This cozy home between Houghton and Marquette sits directly on Snowmobile Trail #15/#159 and connects to the casino a mile away. Enjoy outdoor activities with hiking trails and waterfalls nearby. Dock your boat at the nearby marina and explore the lake or use the 2 kayaks/1 canoe that you can launch from the house. Or stay home and enjoy plenty to do with 235’ of private lakeshore, ping pong, corn hole,bumper pool, board games or enjoy a lakeside fire.

Keweenaw Bay Baraga House

The Baraga House has a view of Keweenaw Bay from the back porch, steps away to Larry's Market grocery from the backyard. Cue Master Bar and Grill and the American Legion Bar & Grill (open to public) are located just steps away also. Very convenient for travelers to the Keweenaw Peninsula, just a block from U.S. Hwy 41. The Ojibwa Casino in Baraga is just minutes away. Please be aware that there is a separate, occupied apartment to the house. Blink door bell cameras are on the front and back.

Rustic Farm House

Secluded small farm house nestled in among maple, apple and pine trees. Lots of parking for trailers and guests. Wood burning Sauna on property. Just a short walk down the hill is our Private rock beach On Lake Superior with a fire pit to get cozy and watch the sunset. The main cabin also has a fire pit for your enjoyment. This is a quiet place with whitetail deer being the only thing to come and visit. Occasionally you’ll see bald eagles fly overhead looking for their dinner. Walking trails.

Located on Portage Lake in Chassell, MI, near Houghton with quick access to Michigan Tech University, this rustic family cabin is a great place for either an overnight stay or a longer getaway. It provides a great home base for travel in the Keweenaw peninsula! As a 1930s cabin with a sauna on the lake along with a great view, the focus is on the experience! We find guests who truly enjoy our place are flexible with rustic conditions (not looking for Holiday Inn Express) and young at heart!

The Cedar Cabin at Pinecrest Northwoods

This 100 year old hand hewn log cabin is perched up on a bluff which looks out over Juncob Lake on one side, and The Michigamme River on the other. The top of the bluff offers a nice open area for admiring the lake, hammocking, stargazing, or a lawn game. Out the back entrance of the cabin there is a small system of trails to take you on a short hike along the Michigamme, or, you can stay inside and enjoy a warm beverage cozied up by the wood burning fireplace!

NO CLEANING OR PET FEES + LOCALLY OWNED! Our peaceful cabin is located directly on Lake Superior, and as of Jan we have over 30 inches of snow on the ground. In the summer, we have kayaks, SUP, and more, plus a dock if you bring a small boat (seasonal)! We are close to hiking, fishing, boating, waterfalls, and other outdoor adventures. In the winter, you are close to snowmobile trails, and have direct lake access for ice fishing to catch walleye and pike.

The space includes a clean 1-bedroom, kids’ bunk room, and a queen pullout sofa, ideal for families or small groups. Just 6 miles from Michigan Tech and steps from the water, the cottage is nestled among two neighboring cottages with shared access to a fire pit, picnic table, and boat dock. A peaceful home base for relaxing or exploring the Keweenaw.

Escape the ordinary vacation. Relax or be adventurous. Fish your heart out! This historic (1800's), 3 bedroom, cedar log cabin is nestled within a 2 acre rustic private island on the Michigamme River, just 300 feet from the shoreline. Flexibility is key. You will need to row or take the simple pontoon with a basic electric motor over to your own private island.(Or let us know you need assistance, and we will make sure someone is there when you arrive.)
