There has been a mill on this site since 1298 and in 2019 we completely refurbished the current 18th century milll to a very high standard to ensure a truly comfortable and magical getaway. You'll be surrounded by trees, bird song and the constant sound of running water and the sight of our resident heron by the waterfall. The mill lies in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Daphne du Maurier country, on the Fowey estuary.

Steps at the edge of our garden lead down to Birdsong & a secluded courtyard with fire pit. It truly is the perfect escape from it all which seems hard to believe when, only a stroll away, you’ll find grocery shops, restaurants, pubs and ever popular Camel Trail and bike hire to cycle to Padstow or inland.

Chy Lowen, a self-contained bungalow with a private sunny garden and patio area, it is situated on a quiet hillside road overlooking Bodmin and close to the historic Bodmin Jail. The beautiful Camel Trail is only a 5 minute walk away.
