Whether admiring Northern Lights from the hot tub in winter or sipping wine on the patio in summer, our cozy wooden cabin is the perfect getaway for your stay in Iceland. The cabin is located in a beautiful and quiet surroundings with many opportunities for great hikes and other nature experiences all year round, not far from Reykjavík and only ten minutes drive from the town of Borgarnes. There you can find all essentials, visit museums and shops and indulge at our favorite café, Kaffi Kyrrð.

Welcome to our family holiday home. Our charming, secluded cottage can comfortably sleep up to 8 people with 3 bedrooms plus a loft bedroom (not tall enough to stand). A hot tub with jets is great for watching the northern lights. 1 hour drive from Reykjavik 20 minutes from Borgarnes. An ideal base for day trips to the west and south of Iceland. Enjoy beautiful Icelandic nature, in the idyllic Skorradalur valley, nestled between an 18km long lake, mountains, birch trees, brooks and more.

Svartagil, Básar 4, West Iceland

A cozy old cottage about 90min drive from Reykjavik and 30min from Borgarnes, close to the river Nordura. The view is magnificent. Svartagil is about 3 km from the main road nr 1 on road nr 528. It has two bedrooms one with 1,60 m bed and other with 1,20 m. Bathroom with a shower, a fully equipped kitchen and living room. There is a hot tub. Lítið, gamalt og notalegt sumarhús á bökkum Norðurár í Borgarfirði. Umhverfið er einstaklega fallegt. Í sumarbústaðahverfi, mjög rólegt og afslappandi.

Solvangur is a private fishing lodge built right next to the river Langá (e. long river), which is one of Icelands best salmon fishing rivers. You wake up and fall asleep the sound of running freshwater and jumping salmon. You can actually see the salmon jumping from the living room window. During the winter it is the perfect place to see the spectacular northern lights. It is a perfect getaway or base for your vacation where you experience the peacefulness of the Icelandic country side.

Our cabin is a quiet cozy place. Located in Svarfhólsskógur in Hvalfjördur, only 45 minutes drive from the city. Beautiful views of mountains and woods all around the cabin. The area around the cabin is wooded with low growing birch trees typical of the Icelandic woods. As a base for sightseeing on the west coast this is a great location. Close to Snaefellsnes, and also the many sights in Borgarfjördur, waterfalls, glaciers, caves and much more. If you enjoy nature this is the place for you.

Our 78 square meter 1 bedroom cottage is located 50 minutes drive from Reykjavik. The cottage is luxurious and has an outdoor natural water hot tub from where you can enjoy the Northern Lights or the fantastic sunset. The living area and the balcony have a spectacular view overlooking the fjord and surrounding mountains. The cottage is a great base for day tours in the south or west of Iceland. Gullfoss, Geysir, Thingvellir and Snæfells glacier are all within 1-2 hours’ drive.

Enjoy nature and amazing views in our beautiful cottage in the mountains of Borgarfjörður - 1 hour drive from Reykjavík. The cottage was built in 2013 - 2015 but has a classic and simple style. There is electric heating, a gas stove and outdoor cooking area. The cottage is close to Krauma geothermal bath and the town of Borgarnes where you can go to stores, museum and restaurants.
