The property compromises of a spiral staircase and underfloor heating throughout . There is an open plan living and kitchen area - a perfect place to chill out after exploring. No pets.

The Soup Kitchen is an architecturally designed renovated cottage dating back to 1840. This 'upside down' house boasts a spacious lounge, kitchen, dining room & bathroom upstairs & three double bedrooms & bathroom downstairs. The lounge has a veranda overlooking the garden with a small seating area where you can sit for that early morning coffee or late night glass of wine. Outside in the cabin is a hot tub and the enclosed rear garden has a lovely decked area with seating for eating outside.

Plenty of games and books etc for the young ones. Carrick Bay has plenty of opportunities to fish, swim, walk, cycle, sail, canoe, windsurf or paddle board. Or of course just chill with a cold drink and stargaze. Friday check in, 3 night minimum booking in winter months and minimum 7 days from April to November.

The Old Fish House

Everybody loves The Old Fish House! With stunning river views it is a beautiful and peaceful cottage, yet a three minute walk from the nearest shop and the harbour. It is a great and relaxing base to enjoy the culture, coastal scenery or walking around the area. The house is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families and we love well behaved dogs. There is a staircase between kitchen/diner and lounge so the cottage may not be ideal for children under 4 years old.

The Lairds Bothy at Knockbrex Castle

Visitors to this wonderful area can stay within the grounds of Knockbrex Castle. The area is a walkers and biking paradise and just a short walk (5-10 minutes) to various beaches. Travel a little to sample the delights in the local area like the chocolate of the Cocoabean Company. Enjoy a walk to the local pubs for lunch at Gatehouse of Fleet or Borgue. For a special evening meal The Ship Inn at Gatehouse of Fleet has lovely locally produced food. car essential, no public transport.

Netherthird is a stunning detached farmhouse set in a wonderfully elevated position, with the most glorious views of the surrounding Galloway Hills. Netherthird was fully renovated in 2020 and has been lovingly furnished to ensure a truly comfortable and welcome family retreat. There is an amazing barbecue hut, with charcoal barbecue and ample seating, perfect for enjoying with friends and a glass or two of wine. Relax in the large hot tub taking in the clear dark skies at night.

The surrounding area boasts attractions such as the 7 Stanes mountain bike trails, Laggan outdoor, Cream ‘O’ Galloway & many castles to mention a few.
