Eco self contained cottage in a garden.

This mini 1 bedroom house was our trial run in building our main home using passive house principles. We are approx 1 km from the centre of Westbury in a rural location. (You may be lucky enough to sight some of our local wildlife during your stay! ) The cottage is suitable for a couple, however the extra single bed does enable some flexibility for guests.(i.e. if you wish to use both beds, please book for 3 people.) We provide a library of information about sustainability for guest perusal.

Happy Nest

Happy Nest is an apartment which is half of the main house at NutGarden. The house has been partitioned to make two residences. Happy Nest contains a bedroom, a large living area, a kitchen and shower/toilet. There is a double sofa bed in the living space as well as the double bed in the bedroom. The house was built by owner/ host Kim Clark who lives on the property with his partner Chintana. The spectacular location is in the rainforest of the World Heritage Region of the Great Western Tiers

Our charming 1-bedroom haven features a queen bed, ensuite, TV, fridge, microwave, toaster and tea/coffee amenities. The tiny home itself has been built entirely of cedar by local artisans. It has been fitted out with antique and reclaimed furnishings with an emphasis on comfort and laid back luxury. The wood fired hot tub is without doubt the highlight. The claw foot bath, indoor wood fire, outdoor fire pit and friendly native wildlife are close seconds.

Blackwood Cottage is a private, 1 bedroom, cottage that is situated on a farm at Blackwood Creek in Tasmania. The cottage is set within a grazing paddock and is only a 2 minute walk from Brumbys Creek. The property is nestled into the base of the Great Western Tiers which provides great opportunity for bushwalking and wildlife viewing. Blackwood Cottage is the perfect place to use as a base for outdoor adventures or as a place to relax in front of the fireplace.
