Smoky Mountain Retreat Cabin is a peaceful rural escape tucked away in the quiet corners of Metchosin. This cozy retreat strikes the perfect balance between comfort and connection to nature. Come and relax at Trout Lake Retreat! Private suite, fully equipped modern amenities, overlooking the lake. Shared deck and BBQ. What makes us so special? We try to offer the truest Canadian experience! 1. Remote: a 22km long lake, 97.5% of it is pure wilderness. 2. Unique: We are the only rental accommodation on the lake. 3. We do live in bear country. 4. Fishing is fantastic! 5. It snows +/- 30 feet of snow in the winter. The only regret you might have... Not booking enough days!

Forest Hideout

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan. Approx. 50 min- 1 hr to Victoria. Pottery lessons are available by request if you have always wanted to try it out.

Outdoor activities include quading, biking, fishing, hunting etc. Leave the city behind and come enjoy the country outdoor experience where the night sky comes alive.

A Little Piece of Heaven on the Kettle River.

Situated over looking the Kettle River in beautiful Christian Valley. While sitting and enjoying the evening sun on the deck you may see the elk, bear or deer in the meadow. They can been seen regularly. The Kettle River in known For great floating during July and August. Canoeing mid June to early July pending water levels. Fishing is catch and release. Access to great mountain trails, biking, ATV, horseback Riding(your own horses), hiking and hunting. Leave the wifi home.
