Misty Mountain Hut-Ruapehu is located in the sleepy little village of Rangataua, 5 minutes distance to Mountain road going up to the Turoa skifield and Ohakune. The 1 bedroom colonial villa has a beautiful view of the mountain. Unlimited wifi and a new firebox with plenty of firewood and a heat pump ensure you are warm in winter. My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

Our self contained apartment offers unique semi rural accommodation with amazing mountain views suited for tourists & travelers to enjoy all our region offers. Relax in the living area with comfortable lounging, dining table with full kitchen incl. dishwasher. Indulge yourself in a luxury queen size bed. A second bedroom offers a king single. Whanganui Awa became the first waterway in the world to get legal personhood, in 2017. Staying next to her in "The Braeburn" is a rare opportunity to come inside this often admired building. On the second floor in the main wing with a huge exclusive NON SMOKING balcony, is your truly blissful escape. Come watch the sunsets, and pour yourself a drink. Slow down, relax and enjoy. The apartment has a kitchenette, queen bed with a quality new mattress and linen, TV and clawfoot bath. No shower.

Have fun with the whole family at this stylish cottage. It is set in quiet and peaceful surroundings in the country close to town. The views are stunning. You can lie in bed and enjoy the tranquility. On a clear day, you can see Mt Taranaki in the distance. It is only 4 minutes drive to Mowhanau Beach, 11 minutes to the centre of town, Springvale Park, Splash Centre, Jubilee Stadium and Virginia Lake. Note: The pool is presently closed over the winter months due to the cold weather.

* No cleaning fees :) * Relax and unwind on our small peaceful farm guest sleep out. One bedroom one bathroom sleep out with kitchenette. One king size bed and a pull out sofa bed. Would suggest this for children only for the limited room. Can provide a travel cot for infants if organised in advance. 10 mins drive away from Kai Iwi beach and a 20-25mins drive to Whanganui. We are situated on the main highway but far enough to not hear traffic. Great location for kids to run around.
