'The Ballast' Riverfront Retreat

This newly renovated unit boasts unobstructed views across Newcastle’s working harbor and the beautiful Ballast grounds. Includes Queen-sized bed and ensuite, with shampoo, conditioner and all linen provided. Fully equipped kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities, toaster oven, hot plate, frypan, saucepan, sandwich maker and microwave. JH Studio is located in the geographical centre of Newcastle, just 5 minutes drive from JH Hospital, Blackbutt Reserve & parks. This modern, spacious one bedroom studio sits privately downstairs at the rear of our residence, with separate entry & quiet street parking. It features a comfy king size bed, newly renovated bathroom & laundry, self-contained kitchen, lounge & dining rooms, snooker table & stylish furnishings. Little House on Dawson

This is a beautiful little self contained bungalow located at the back of my house. You will have everything you need for a comfortable and unique stay in this (EXTREMELY!) light-filled space. All the windows are leadlight and the soaring window at the front (from a 100 year old church in the Hunter Valley) adds to the distinctive charm. You will have your own access. You can park in the driveway or on the street (unrestricted on weekends and after hours. Otherwise its a 2hr limit from 9am-5pm

The Church is a very private 140 year old timber church with gothic windows and high ceilings set in its own lush native garden The living area is spacious with French Doors opening onto a large veranda under shady trees The bedroom is on a mezzanine level with a queen bed Bathroom is large with a long, deep cast iron bath. Pet friendly inside and out. 5 min walk to a nature reserve and Kotara rail station (Sydney line) 15-25 min to beach by car, bus or train very near (1-5 min walk)

Our charming studio is only 3 meters from the lapping waters edge of Lake Macquarie. Just relax and watch the yachts sail by, magnificent views. It's quite romantic to sit in the moonlight and feel the lake breeze in the evening.
