If you are not excited to experience using an outside john and shower, keeping the wood stove stoked or living among the creatures of the forest, this may not be your style of adventure ;) Check in is 5pm, but open to flexible scheduling if possible. The yurt is a modern, light, space with a deck. It's nestled between a mixed conifer forest and Starlight Meadow. We're at the end of a private road on 20 acres. The property is gated for your comfort and peace of mind. There's a large trampoline at the edge of the meadow perfect for stargazing and sunsets. The creek flows October thru June depending on rainfall. Six miles from Shady Cove where you'll find restaurants and a grocery store. 40 miles to Crater Lake. 26 to Ashland. Treat yourself!

Relax in a spacious yurt on the side of Mount Pickett next to Moran State Park. Less than a five minute drive to Doe Bay Resort. Twelve miles past Eastsound on the Horseshoe Highway and 20 miles from the ferry landing. The yurt has an outdoor kitchen space with a camp stove and most of the utensils for preparing and serving food. There is an outdoor fire spot and a picnic table for outdoor relaxing and dining. There is also an outdoor shower and outhouse with a composting toilet.

We are 6 miles from downtown, with beaches, gorge and Mt. Hood accessible for day outings. There is a full kitchen, a natural gas fireplace and complete electrical and plumbing service. The guests full bathroom is located in the home's utility room a short lighted pathway walk from the yurt.

We provide french roast coffee, grinder, and, french press, as well as the heated hybrid memory foam and latex mattress with down comforter and mattress heater where you can fall asleep looking thru the 5' yurt dome at the stars...or..snowflakes, but more than likely some rain..:)

Myrtle's Yurt

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. No phone, no tv and no internet help you get away. Your cell may or may not get coverage here. (For urgencies, wifi/landline available in my main house). Private yurt with two shared bathrooms in an outbuilding. Please note, this is CAMPING with a bed. It can be hot, it can be cold, there may be bugs, there is no electricity, and no running water in the yurt.
