The Swallow's Nest

The Swallow's Nest is a tiny barn which sits between Slievenamon & the Comeragh mountains, in the glorious valley known as The Honeylands but is only a ten minute drive from Clonmel, Tipperary's County town.

Located 5 minutes from heritage town Abbeyleix in co. Laois is Villa Jokubas a log cabin village set on a hill overlooking surrounding countryside. This is a gorgeous little hut built in the top corner of a hay barn, but has the feeling of a comfortable treehouse. It is located in a peaceful rural setting overlooking a field. It is quite near other buildings in which we live, but it is totally private. Access requires climbing two short flights of sturdy steps which bring you on to its balcony Kilkenny city is a handy 20 minute drive away, but a car is needed as there is no public transport. A perfect place to retreat to.
