Escape to the beauty of Coniston in our charming self-catering cottage & indulge in an enchanting getaway. Tucked away on a peaceful lane with breathtaking lake views, it’s the perfect retreat for 4 people, and pets are welcome too! Just a short stroll to cosy pubs for great food and drinks, all dog friendly. We offer part-week stays Nov–March (Fri–Mon or Mon–Fri), with Friday check-in's only from March–Nov. Magical, grade II listed 18th century traditional Lakeland cottage set within 5 acres of woodlands, leading directly to 2 private beaches on Lake Windermere. Relax in a peaceful, natural environment, ideal for friends, families, wild swimmers, cyclists, paddle boarders, hikers and for cosy evenings by the fireplace. Separately charged are a luxurious hot tub, perfect after a hard days hike and a wood fired barrel sauna with cold shower. A tuck shop, art classes and treatments are also available.

Low Brow - Barn conversion cottage in Coniston

Low Brow a split level detached barn conversion, close to the centre of Coniston. Leave the property and turn right for a short stroll down the hill into the village for shopping, pubs and cafes. Coniston Water is a 15 minute walk and is peaceful and picturesque for sailing and canoeing. Turn left as you leave the property and within minutes you are climbing Coniston Old Man. Ideal as a base for cycling. An elevated patio to the rear of the property offers fine lake views over Coniston Water.

Next to pretty Torver beck, with frontage to the quiet western shore of Coniston Water, it’s the perfect place for a ‘get-away-from-it-all’ break. Wren is beautifully refurbished but retains lots of character. Surrounded by fantastic scenery you don't need to go far to enjoy the beauty of the Lakes. Stroll down to the lake to sit and unwind, walk up onto the Common for amazing views, or explore the lake and island by canoe.

Crag Cottage is a picture postcard Lakeland cottage with thick stone walls and an open fire. Despite being over 250 years old, the cottage is cosy and comfortable. Nestled under the crags of the Old Man, the location is unbeatable. Walk onto the Coniston fells from the back door and into the village in 5 minutes. Beautiful old miners cottage with stunning views over the lake towards Grizedale forest. The cottage is perfectly located, perched just above Coniston village at the foot of the mountain. It's a short stroll down the hill to the village, with its many amenities, and to the lake. Walks up the Old Man of Coniston begin from outside the house. There is a stone patio with table and chairs at the front of the cottage with amazing views over the lake, village and surrounding hills.

With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a comfortable living room & a fully equipped kitchen. We allow a maximum of four guests including children. Up to two dogs are welcome at Latter Rigg Cottage. The Farmhouse is a characterful, white washed 17th century farmhouse set in a secluded 1.2 acres of woodland with private lake access (shared with two other cottages) leading to the beautiful waters of lake Coniston. Situated in an enviable spot, the cottage is an ideal place for couples, families or small groups, to come and unwind in the peaceful surroundings and explore the Lakes by foot, bike or boat.

Use this cottage to relax after a long day hiking, mountain biking in the forest or kayaking on Coniston water. Walking distance to Coniston village, multiple places to access the water and free parking on site you will barely need to use your car. If you fancy a walk up the old man of Coniston or a trip to Tarn Hows you can access all of these places on foot. Two bedroom, one bathroom cottage.
