Lough Arrow Cottage

This restored 100 year old stone cottage is not just a place to come, it's a place to return to. Its idyllic location offers peace and relaxation. It's 6 miles north of Boyle and approx 15 miles from Sligo. Lough Arrow is one of Ireland’s renowned brown trout lakes. Guests have their own private jetty at the end of the garden, fishing is free and our boat is available to hire at extra cost. Carrowkeel's Megalithic tombs, older than Newgrange, are just across the lake and wonderful to explore.

Our modern bungalow has lake views and lake shore access with a launching point for kayaks. You'll have access via a private lane to Cush Wood, an ancient wooded island joined to the mainland by a narrow path. The island is privately owned by us and you are welcome to explore and picnic in the ancient woods and historic Ring Fort during your stay.

Our home is secluded, relaxing, and scenic. Located near the shores of Lough Gill with a beautiful public lakeshore walking trail beginning 50 meters from the front gate. Less than 10 minutes to Sligo town and less than 20 to Rosses point or Strandhill beaches. The house is well equipped with everything you need and also close to lots of local amenities.

Arrow Huts-Unique Shepherds hut experience

You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination. Overlooking the beautiful limestone lake, Lough Arrow, to the front and the Moytura plateau to the rear. Each hut sleeps 2 adults, self contained and have their own cooking area and shower/toilet facilities. We are adult only and while we love pets don’t allow them in huts.
