There is a daily bus service to Banbury and Daventry and from Banbury there is a train service for Oxford, London and Birmingham. Shakspeare's Stratford Upon Avon, Cropredy Festival and Silverstone are a short drive away. There is a plaque on the village hall to commemorate singer/songwriter Sandy Denny from the band Fairport Convention.

Hillcrest is a stone cottage dating back to the 1700s set within rolling countryside in the quiet hamlet of Preston Capes. This peaceful and beautifully renovated cottage offers all the charm of a period cottage, with the convenience and comfort of modern living. The cottage has a private walled garden and outdoor eating area. There are several good pubs/restaurants within easy driving distance or a walk for the more energetic guests (Fawsley Hall or The Plough at Everdon).

Ideal secluded house for a family of 4 in a lovely, historic, canal side village. You can relax in the pretty garden or enjoy strolling along the canal. You may even want to explore the Battle of Cropredy Bridge trail. The village has 2 pubs, 2 cafes, and a shop. It is a 5 minutes drive from Junction 11 on the M40 and very central for visiting The Cotswolds and Warwickshire. Warwick Castle, Stratford-on-Avon and Oxford are all within easy reach. Dogs are welcome.
