Tethera Nook is the South East wing of Hylands with wonderful views. Set over three floors, surrounded by beautiful gardens. It has been renovated with great care, to the highest standard of design, using quality materials and finishes. It is a place to rest and unwind, to wander and sit in a garden full of wildlife, to gaze at the ever-changing views. It's 12 minutes walk from Kendal town center's many independent shops and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub the Riflemans Arms

The Lake House (Windermere)

The house, dating back to 1837, has been refurbished to a very high standard. The lake is across the road from the property boundary, so there are lake views from many rooms and from the large gardens and meadow. We have 4 luxurious double bedrooms, all ensuite, there is a beautiful kitchen and dining room, and an elegant drawing room. Close to Ambleside (centre of the Lake District), with easy access to other villages, the lakes, and the fells. On site parking. As good as it gets!

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families & furry friends (pets). It is a peaceful quiet location surrounded by beautiful countryside. - Bedding is provided. - Additional Charges apply for pets. A fabulous cottage on the edge of the Lake District sleeping up to four. Original features with log burner, oak beams, deep bath, comfy beds. Two bedrooms, king size and twin/super king, the twins can be 'zip and linked' together to form super king. Quiet village location with pub. Beautiful lakes and mountains nearby with many an adventure to be had. Cockermouth market town is 4 miles away, with supermarkets, good independent shops, restaurants and cafes.

Cosy Cumbrian Cottage - King Size Bed

A unique and tranquil getaway. Close to the Lake District, Hadrian's Wall, Carlisle, Gretna Green, and the Scottish Borders, explore all day and come home to a log fire and hot bath in this stylish cottage. It is a short walk to the local shops, takeaway restaurants, and pubs. The beautiful River Esk is less than a 3 minute walk from the cottage. Great public transport connections to Carlisle, Gretna and the Borders. This space is ideal for couples.

Wythop School, Lake District

Located in the Lake District National Park on the coast to coast cycle route, Wythop School sits on the side of Ling Fell with views towards Bassenthwaite Lake. The old village school has been renovated to provide comfortable accommodation for up to 10 guests. The village has a pub and hotel offering good food and real ale. All other amenities (supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants, museums etc) can be found in Cockermouth, a 4 mile drive away.

The Byre - cottage in converted barn nr Ullswater

Ideal for couples and young families. Completed in 2020, The Byre is one of 3 cottages in our old stone barn near Ullswater in the Lake District. Thornythwaite Farm is in Matterdale which is a peaceful valley off the beaten track but with great access to all the popular areas of the Lakes. There are plenty of walks from the door and a good pub, The Royal, is just a short stroll down the road.

Eller How House - Private Regency Property & Lake

Built in 1827, this architectural gem, is nestled within 12 acres of private grounds featuring diverse woodland, gardens and an ornamental lake and bridge, just a few minutes drive from Windermere's shore, Cartmel’s world renown restaurants and the southern lakeland fells. The holiday let is situated in the west wing of the house with it’s own private garden, driveway, parking and entrance.

The Old Map Shop

The Old Map Shop was originally part of the village school. In more recent times it was a map shop, but then lay empty for a number of years before it was sensitively converted into a holiday property in 2020 - 2021. Caldbeck has a pub, cafes and a few shops. It is a great base for exploring the northern fells or for a stop on the Cumbria Way.
