Welcome to your (earthen) home away from home! This earthen home was constructed by Mr. Bill Adams, a direct descendent of Pres. John Adams and a veteran who served in the Allied occupation of Japan following WWII. Going further back, this was one of the first areas to be settled. It was part of the "Sims Settlement" and was defended during the War of 1812 by James and William Slaughter. Settlers farmed the fertile land near Indian Creek, now called the Indian Creek Greenway - 4 mins away.

Our second home is a mix of mid-century modern and "cabin in the woods." It sits on 2 heavily wooded acres and backs up to a mountainside with rock outcroppings. The main living area (living room, dining area, and kitchen) is raised about 4 steps, and the bedroom and bath areas are on the main level. There is one large bathroom with a shower. There is an electric fireplace surrounded by ledge stone in front of the u-shaped built-in sofa. There is abundant reading material & 2 TV's.

Peaceful country setting, just 3 miles from downtown Rogersville . Close to several boat launches plenty of space to park with boat or trailer. Joe wheeler state park is 7 miles away. You can sit on the side deck, watch the horses eat, and listen to the frogs at night. A short walk across the field and you can be fishing in Plato Branch. Cozy cabin with two queen beds. Coyote’s Cabin Treehouse is 224 sq ft that sits up high on a bluff with Scarham creek below. Hot tub sits overlooking the creek. There’s no TV or WIFI. We only offer the noise of nature. Please note: this is a smoke free ( including marijuana) , pet free and no children allowed. Please respect our home. If you must smoke, please do so outside and away from the door and bring a butt can with you. I always offer discount stays on my excellent guest at any of my stays
