Sat on an 11 acre croft, it has views encompassing the sea to the South and the amazing coastal cliffs and stunning mountains to the West. What an idylic place to relax and base your scottish holiday from. With low levels of light pollution, a clear galaxy of unbelievable stars and planets look as though they can be reached for. Sitting on the terrace at night is one of the most breathtaking experiences we have seen. Also, as south facing, the sunsets and sunrises are also a memory in the making. You may also experience the Tornado jets fly over as they are based at RAF Lossiemouth. Welcome! This is our quirky wee cottage. Originally a traditional Scottish but and ben it now offers a cosy getaway in the far north highlands. Taigh Neonach is Gaelic for odd cottage which suits its slightly unconventional character. A fantastic base to explore the North of Scotland, whether you are touring the NC500, relaxing in the quiet wilderness of Caithness, doing a spot of fishing, shooting, walking, cycling... the choices are endless like the views!

Cute tiny shepherd's hut near to the village

Our quirky, cute shepherd's hut sits in a semi-wild orchard next to our house, and near to an historic mill. It is ideal for one or two people and comes equipped with a comfortable double bed, a folding table, a small kitchen area with a microwave, kettle and toaster and a tiny private bathroom, with a hot shower. Outside, the decking provides a space to relax. The BBQ provides an option for dinner. Drinking water is from a tap on the side of the hut.
