This beautiful rustic single storey traditional 18th century cottage, built from local pink sandstone, was bought by my father in 1986. I've been going there since I was 7 years old. It's in an isolated tranquil location with beautiful views of the Lowther Hills, and a ruined castle and loch a 10 minute walk away. A great area for walking, cycling, fishing, bird watching etc. It has a separate office with hill views, bike storage, open fire, and recently refurbished kitchen and bathroom.

Our Bothy is a beautifully restored one-bedroom cosy and welcoming retreat in a peaceful setting, surrounded by an acre of meadow and hills. Just over a mile from the ducal village of Thornhill’s shops, cafés and pubs. Full of original character, it is an immaculate, fully equipped and comfortable base for relaxing, walking and exploring scenic Dumfries and Galloway.

The Steading Cottage

The Steading Cottage at Holmhill was once the stables and groom’s quarters to the elegant Georgian main house built by the Drumlanrig Castle Estate. It offers a cosy and beautifully appointed country retreat with breathtaking views over the beautiful Nith Valley and surrounding farmland, renown for its walks, wildlife and fishing. The 'Green House' is a charming wood panelled annex cottage dating from the 1920s. It is in a quiet, rural location, but still close to the M74 so a perfect stop en-route to northern Scotland or southwards to the border and England. It has an AGA, central heating, king-size beds with electric blankets, private parking, full cooking facilities and utilities, as well as it's own 'private use' garden facilities with views over sheep farms and the Moffat Hills.

Stepford Station Cottage is the perfect cosy retreat for nature lovers. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no extra fee.
