Plenty of parking & a large covered sitting area where you can enjoy your evenings rain or shine! Leave your truck & trailer parked and ride your machine anywhere in town you need to go. You can ride the trails until dark and the streets in town until 11pm. Stop by our very own souvenir shop in town (Hatfield~McCoy Trail Gear) and get your trail passes, maps, and souvenirs.

Mama Bears Den is the Perfect Location to Visit the Hatfield and McCoy Trails offering access to not only one but two different trail systems (Devil Anse & Rockhouse) within a mile of the property! Devil Anse connects with a Third trial system (Buffalo) offering days of trials with no need to trailer to other locations! Relax on the porch or by the fire pits while cooking on the grills by a scenic creek! While here visit the gravesite or museum of Devil Anse, just a short walking distance away.

Located approximately 6 minutes to War, WV and HMT trailhead. A Short, nice ride to the Wilmore Dam, and to High Rocks. NEW ADDITIONAL PARKING FOR LARGE TRAILERS across the street from the Cottage. In addition to approximately 50 ft. in front, 40 ft. in back, 30 ft. on the side of the cottage. SEE PARKING PHOTOS. We are on Rt 16, part of the ”Head of the Dragon” Motorcycle Riding Route in Caretta, WV. You will have easy on/off access to “Warrior Trail” from Caretta or War.

We have a 2 bed room cabin available for rent located right next to the Hatfield McCoy ATV trail system, along with being located in Gilbert, WV which is the HUB of all good trail riding available! We are only 1 mile to the Rock House trail head. We are just a 5 minute ride to the new trail system Braveheart. You have your own private hot tub, sun room, and private outdoor getaway to relax at night. There is a futon available in the sun room as well.
