Unique octagon home set over the South Fork of the New River. Large deck overlooks scenic river view. Open the windows and feel the fresh air and hear the river below. Steps to the river enable fishing, kayaking, swimming, river walking or a great place to watch the sun set. Inside, the all wood 1,600 square feet is centered by a huge stone fireplace in a sunken living room open to the dinning room and kitchen creating a wonderful 'heart' for visiting and sharing a meal. The cottage is equipped with keyless entry, fiber optic high speed internet, smart TVs, washer and dryer, mini-split A/C and heat, and a fully functional kitchen. The two bedrooms have Sealy memory foam mattresses (Queen).

The tiny Xmas tree cabin offers the best place for a “Good night sleep”. The cabin sits on 5 acres of tranquil environment surrounded by trees and Mountain Views. The cabin is located 1 mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is two miles from the Summit on Cross Mountain wedding venue. For people who love kayaking and canoeing, we offer kayaks to use and a trailer upon request. The New River is about 2 miles from the cabin. Enjoy West Jefferson only 6 miles away for great shopping and dining.

The Cabin is at 2,500' elevation, ceiling fans to keep you cool. For winter, central heat or fireplace keeps you warm. Full kitchen. Our place is very quiet. It is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, New River, the Wilkesboros, West Jefferson, Boone (30 min.), Virginia Creeper Trail (1 hr.), W. Kerr Scott Lake. We think you will enjoy the coziness and mountain views. Our place is good for couples and solo adventurers. We do not allow children, pets, smoking or outdoor fires.

Out of the Blue Cabin cabin is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath cabin located in quaint West Jefferson, NC. With stunning views, Out of the Blue Cabin is the perfect little getaway spot to relax and unwind from life's demands. It comfortably sleeps 5-6 (5 in beds and can accomodate an additional sleeper on the couch in the living room), has a fully functioning kitchen, gas grill, WiFi, TV, all with a rustic mountain feel. Bed linens, towels, washer and dryer are included in your stay.
