Te Whare o Kea is a non profit social enterprise and supports kea and kiwi conservation work. It provides simple shelter for trampers, bikers and other nature lovers. Spectacular sunrises and night skies also make it the perfect location for a retreat. Located 20 minutes drive north from Nelson city, a unique converted container studio unit sits on a rural 5 acre property beside the main house. It has it's own entrance off our shared driveway. Handy to Happy Valley Adventure Park and stunning Cable Bay - a 15 minute drive down the valley.

Uniquely situated on a rural property that sits above Nelson and just a short drive from both Nelson Airport and Nelson City centre. Located up a winding, private, gravel driveway approx 1km from the road. 'The Lookout' is separate from our home (located at the far end of our double garage) self-contained and completely private. Our cozy unit features a private deck, queen bed, ensuite and kitchenette. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets, sea views and birdlife in the surrounding forest.

Steep climb from the road, up steps and boardwalks. We suggest a pack, not a suitcase.
