The Kjar House

Thank you for checking out our Family retreat in Plush Oregon. Kjar is Pronounced Care its Danish . Plush is a Special place. At first it seems like the middle of know where but you soon realize it is the middle of the most relaxing place you have ever been. There are so many things to see from Sun stone's to Petroglyphs to the Shirk Ranch, Sitting on the Deck at night watching the Stars. Plush is one of the Darkest places in the west, very little light pollution here. The list is endless.

Quiet 1 bedroom Apartment

Welcome to our hidden treasure, it’s time to relax.. Our guest suite (more of an apartment) is tucked away in a low activity & convenient neighborhood. Inset from rd. makes for a quiet & private stay. Close to downtown, hosp., & stores. Comfortably sleeps 4(6 w/pullout). 2 Qbeds (1 firm/1 soft), 52” TV, Roku, games, fast WIFI, Nintendo (old school). Coffee supplies & stocked kitchen. Connected to main house but completely independent (1/2 shared wall) & private entrance. Access to shared yard.

High Desert Hideaway

Pets allowed inside if potty trained. Just a 5.3 miles from town. It is on the south side of Highway 20 east of Burns, you must go past Red Barn Road. There is red reflectors to help find the driveway at night. It’s a on a pivot that with permission and caution about buildings, pivot, equipment and the highway you may shoot ground squirrels and jack rabbits! There is a corral for horses and a kennel for dogs. It is centrally located for horse activities like cuttings, brandings.

The Outlook

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located on a remote eastern Oregon cattle ranch. Wildlife viewing, star gazing at it's best. Winter months are snow shoeing, cross country skiing, or a good book by the fire. Beautiful views in all directions, and we are the only ranch in sight. This cozy two bedroom home was remodeled in early 2023 and has lots of amenities to offer. Its a great option for extended stays or a quick weekend getaway and sleeps up to four people.
