The path to the beach and miles of Sandy shore is 100 ft from the cottage without having to deal with crossing the hwy to get there. Do you enjoy the mountains? Do you appreciate the rugged central Oregon coastline? This lovely cabin features both mountain and ocean views. Walking access to the beach. Quiet, serene tranquility and privacy. Excellent location for ocean views and storm watching. Secluded studio style cabin is warm and cozy with ample room to relax and enjoy after exploring the rugged coast and Siuslaw forest. There's a wood stove - bring firewood to make your time in our cabin pure bliss.

We are located 2 miles from the entrance to the Mary's Peak recreation area, the highest spot in the coast range. During winter, there is usually access to snow, only a 15 minute drive from our cabin to the top of Mary's Peak. Alsea Falls is a 25 minute drive. The coastal town of Waldport is a 45 minute drive, Oregon State University is a 20 minute drive away, and University of Oregon is 1 hour south of us. Cabin is on our private property where we live as well.

If are looking for comfy home with a stunning ocean view within walking distance of Yachats restaurants and shops, our house is for you! Watch the waves roll in, the sun set, the birds fly by, and occasionally whales and sea lions from our comfy home. Hunt for agates on the smelt sand beach and explore the tide pools just in front of the house, walk down the nearby 804 trail to an 8-mile sandy beach, or head to nearby Cape Perpetual for a hike.

A River Cottage for Every Season

The Riverview Cottage is a little slice of heaven. Unbelievable views from every window; even on a rainy day, you'll catch yourself frittering away the time staring up river, or at the surrounding coast range mountains. Truly heaven on earth. This is the place to get away from technology and reconnect with nature. The Cottage is one of three houses on the property, and can sleep up to four people.

Rhododendron House

You’ll love waking up to the garden-like view of the beautiful rhododendron and the backdrop of evergreens. The open-plan studio is comfortable and complete with full kitchen, small dining area and bath with shower. King size bed and an available 4” foam mattress if needed for a child or third guest. Excellent WIFI, though there is a bug in the Airbnb platform preventing it showing under Amenities.

The Carriage House at Dragons Cove

Under a spell of centuries of wind and waves, Cape Perpetua awaits. Here you'll find The Carriage House, an enchanted cottage with views of tiny Dragons Cove, Laughing Gull Island, and the majestic Perpetua headland, highest point on the Oregon coast. It's hard to imagine a more pristine oceanfront setting. Two dozen harbor seals congregate and birth their young on the island.
