The Annexe

Debbie and Richard warmly welcome you to The Annexe. We are situated in Bideford in a quiet residential area; a 5 minute walk from the countryside, a 15 minute walk from the town centre and a 10 minute drive to the nearest beach. We are an ideal base for trips to RHS Rosemoor and Lundy Island, with free parking. The Annexe is suitable for mobility impaired guests, with non-slip ramped access to the low threshold entrance door, one level inside and a large walk-in low threshold shower cubicle.

Enjoy a peaceful stay in this rural riverside retreat, situated in the beautiful village of Weare Giffard, North Devon. Surrounded by inspiring countryside of the Torridge Valley and a stones throw from the Tarka Trail. Here you can enjoy miles of traffic-free cycling and walking, or, why not take a short drive to one of the nearby stunning sandy beaches. When you have finished exploring, stroll down to the village pub, The Cyder Presse; or visit one of the many great pubs just a few miles away.

The Old Printers

Enjoy staying in The Old Printers flat, centrally located in Great Torrington. A short flat walk to the centre of the town with all its shops and cafes including The Plough Arts Centre. Set above New street at the front you can watch the world go by and also enjoy amazing views towards the coast. To the west the view is of the beautiful historic church and church yard. The Old Printers is newly refurbished to a high standard. It is stylishly decorated and has a modern bright relaxed atmosphere.

The beautiful rural village of Weare Giffard meanders along the banks of the river Torridge. The accommodation can be found nestled in the garden of the old village school with lovely views of the river and woods beyond. The compact accommodation is designed to make the most of the surrounding scenery. The Garden Room is but a stones throw from the Tarka Trail which provides over 70 miles of traffic-free cycling or walking. The North Devon coast and it’s beaches are a short drive away.

Backing on to the River Caen and overlooking the beautiful 13th Century Parish Church, the Barn is just a short 5 minute walk away from Braunton's Village centre and North Devon's 4 best surfing beaches are all within a short drive away (3-7 miles).
