Wheelers Den is a cosy and quiet self contained house in a lovely rural village. Ideal as a base for experiencing authentic village life and exploring Nara, Wazuka and southern Kyoto. Amazing cycling, hiking, temples, 700 year old stone carvings, tea plantations, rice fields and mountains all close. Free rental bikes available. By train Nara is 15 minutes. Iga ninja museum and castle 35 mins. Kyoto 57 mins. Osaka 50 mins. Free parking for one car. A great place for a unique experience of Japan.

To ensure you enjoy the stay to the fullest, I set check-in and check-out time to both 12:00 Noon. So you can stay up for 24 hours with one night booking. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.

Thank you for visiting my page. This is a renovated and certified 140-year-old Kyo-Machiya. Located in the heart of Kyoto, we are just a 7-minute walk from the Imperial Palace and Imadegawa Station (K06), with Kyoto Station only 10 minutes away by subway. We offer four bicycles free of charge for you to explore the charming backstreets that buses cannot reach. Additionally, for long stay guests , we provide a complimentary shuttle service to or from Kyoto Station upon request.

The surroundings are full of nature, and if you are lucky, you can see animals such as wild deer, boars and squirrels. In addition to burning charcoal in the fireplace and enjoying the burning fire, you can enjoy the following as fireplace dishes. (We prepare 1 box of charcoal. Opened in the spring of 2022. Private lodging for one group per day. Close to Kyoto Station. you can get to almost anywhere in the city without changing trains or buses. You can also use 2 bicycles for free. There are many hotels, hot spa and restaurants nearby for dining. Try to visit Kyoto Aquarium and Kyoto Railway Museum in Umekoji Park if you have spare time.

京町家 天の川 〔Maison à Kyoto Amanogawa〕

This is a nice place to visit Kyoto, just near the river Shirakawa, a really nice place sometimes used for movies or series. The house is near Chioin, Kodaiji, Higashiyama, Yasaka shrine. Just near the house, there is an old market where you can buy and eat Japanese food.
