Boat of Garten is a beautiful village situated in the Spey Valley. It is an ideal base for many sporting and nature activities in summer and winter. There is even a steam train that runs past the bottom of the garden. The village has a grocery store, cafe, hotel and a restaurant. Our bungalow has 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suite. There is a well equipped kitchen/dining room and a lounge with a beautiful view. We also have a utility room which is great for drying wet gear and storing wellies!

Meikle House near Aviemore

Meikle House is 3 miles north of Aviemore. It is a detached house sleeping up to 9 people in 5 bedrooms. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room, walk in wardrobe and a superb Austrian style balcony with mountain views. There are 3 further bedrooms upstairs and a double bedroom downstairs. On the ground floor there is a spacious lounge with a log burning stove and a large kitchen/dining area. There is also a bathroom with shower downstairs and a utility room with washing machine.

Charming original features including stone spiral stairs, traditional Scottish timber clad walls, stone/pine flooring and even a privy directly over the river below! Recently renovated. The Pavilion is positioned within beautiful landscaped gardens overlooking the Cromarty Firth. Foulis Castle is a 15-20 min walk away from the Storehouse of Foulis Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm).
