Revamped Minimalist Stone Country House

Nestled on the foot of mount Giouchtas, in the picturesque village of Archanes, our stone countryhouse is located in one of the most central and beautiful parts of the area. Archanes are 20 minutes away from the centre of Heraklion(15km), 15 minutes away from Heraklion's International airport, 15 minutes away from the famous Minoan palace of Knossos, as well as 20 minutes away from numerous beautiful beaches. Situated in the center of the most important wine-producing region of Crete, it has a 5000 years old history, while excavations conducted in the last 50 years have brought to light a lot of sites dating back to the Minoan period. The village is also very famous for its typical Cretan architecture. Most of the houses have been restored recently and Archanes has won the second award as “the best restored village in Europe”. The house enjoys a spacious interior and a private garden, which is protected by a peripheral wall. This is a typical characteristic of old Cretan houses of the area. Guests enter the private garden through the gate which then leads to the main building. I am always at the disposal of my guests, so that I can make their holiday problem-free. Furthermore, there is a free parking very close to the house. The country house is only 20’ away from the “Nikos Kazantzakis Airport” and the port. The archeological site of Knossos is 15’ away.

The apartment is spacious in a modern style with amazing sea view. It is on the second floor and only 100 m distance from the beach. It has its own balcony and includes a double bed, two single beds, a sofa bed, a private bathroom (bath / toilet), kitchen with electric cooker, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, fringe and air conditioning. Suitable for couples or families with children. Access to free wireless internet. The beach of Kokkinos Pirgos is a very long sandy beach.

Also next to you at 50 meters is the coastal avenue of the Red Tower with the sandy beach that you can enjoy your swimming. Situated in front of the port of Kokkinos Pyrgos, Isalos offers beautiful views from morning till dawn. Guests will surely have relaxing moments in the big balconies overlooking the garden, the fishing boats approaching the harbour and the sunset. Surprisingly, the beach is only a few steps away and there are free sunbeds and umbrellas where they can be served by the nearby cafes and tavernas.
