Balsam Hollow is a newly built, charming rustic cabin that was created from the heart for our family, friends and you. From the all-wood exterior and interior, to the log railings in the loft, staircase and covered porch with wrap-around deck, our mission is to give our guests a true Adirondack Experience. Surrounded by nature, secluded and private, yet centrally located to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and Rainbow Lake with 25 miles of connecting waterways. You will find a snow shoe trail and cross country skiing on our 10 acres. Outside grill and fire pit. With our tankless water system you will have an endless supply of hot water to enjoy! Even though we are tucked off the beaten trail we are close to so much adventure! There are multiple trail heads close by, ice skating (pond style or rinks including the Olympic Oval in Lake Placid), Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort, Bobsled rides, Toboggan Shoot, Sled Dog rides, Boating, Canoeing, Mountain Beaches, Swimming Holes, White Water Rafting, Hiking, Mountain Biking, and so much more! We are located 100 yards from the downtown area, and 300 yards from Lake Flower, but in a nice residential spot. We grow our own food in our front yard and on our large porch. Very close to canoe and kayak rentals, and minutes away from 3 boat launches and boat rentals. 1 block from new Adirondack RAIL TRAIL. Your hosts were involved in eco-tourism for many years and can provide a wealth of information.

We've spent 2 years bringing this 115 year old house back to a home. It was originally a "cure cottage" on Park Avenue, a quiet lovely street just a short walk to downtown Saranac Lake, restaurants, shopping, the beach and tourist attractions. Close to Lake Placid. Includes fully equipped kitchen, bathrobes, firewood.

Village Cottage-Walk to Downtown/Rail Trail

Very cute cottage is within walking distance to restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, the rail trail and nightlife. Good side yard with outdoor furniture. Enclosed porch for rainy days. Huge soaking tub. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). We do not charge a pet fee but will charge for any damages incurred. This is a cottage next to where we live. We are self check in but you may run into us.

Enjoy the wood stove, notty pine walls, contemporary kitchen and laundry area with lots of natural light in a quiet neighborhood close to local sights. All bedrooms are equipped with ceiling lights as well as side table lamps that offer a softer glow for relaxing. The living room and master bedroom features 4K resolution Roku Smart televisions which allow you to stream movies, shows, and channels from major streaming providers.

Third floor non smoking apartment . The kitchenette contains a microwave, small refrigerator, toaster oven,Keurig coffee maker. Private bathroom, off street parking for one vehicle only. Additional vehicles must be parked in the village lot. Walk to downtown,10 miles to Lake Placid, plenty of outdoor recreation such as hiking and kayaking nearby. Access to the Adirondack Rail Trail is nearby. This space is suitable for three people comfortably. There is 1 Full sized bed and 1 twin bed.

Camp Shepard

This is a charming house built in 1920 right in Saranac Lake. It gives a campy feeling of being nestled in the woods. There are views of Lake Flower and its boat launch from the wrap around porch or patio. In the heart of the Adirondacks, and just 8 miles from Lake Placid, after hiking, boating, fishing, canoeing, or just exploring come home and relax in this spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath home with a large kitchen, dining and living room or have a nice family cookout from the bbq.
