We have recently updated this cottage ---- with a new kitchen with a proper hob and oven, and also replaced all the windows and even the front door ! The Forge cottage is set on our working sheep farm, on the Durham Northumberland border. Ideal for couples, or people traveling on their own, the cottage is a great location for local attractions such as Beamish Museum, Durham, Newcastle, Kilhope lead mining museum etc., but it's also great for those looking for peace and quiet and country walks !!

Rowan Cottage, Lanchester

Our quaint stone cottage is nestled in the historic village of Lanchester overlooking the Lanchester Railway Path . From the property, you can walk to the local shops, dog friendly bars, and restaurants and discover a network of pretty walking and cycling routes for all the family. The village is an ideal place to stay in County Durham with Durham City only a 15 minute drive and Newcastle a 30 minute drive where you will discover stunning architecture, shopping centres and restaurants galore.

Dreamers hut is a two double bedroom Shepards hut in its own private woodlands. The rooms are cosy with a cottage feel with a wood burning fire inside the living room. Each bedroom is finished to a high standard with woodland views, a luxury double mattress & quality bed linen. Towels and bath robes are provided during your stay. Dreamers hut is in its own private woodlands. It has a 5 person wood burning sauna, outdoor BBQ, firepit, seating area & 5 person hot tub.

The Oaks

The Oaks is attached to our home. It has its own private entrance from the outside and internal doors are locked. It is an ensuite room set out like a hotel room. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS OUR FAMILY HOME AND IS NOT SUITED FOR A ROMANTIC/ PASSIONATE NIGHT AWAY BUT FOR GUESTS WANTING A PEACEFUL GETAWAY.. Wooden stairs lead up to this first floor bedroom that has its own decked area with outside furniture to enjoy the fantastic views.

Central Location Lanchester

Welcome to 1 Station road, an 18th century upstairs dwelling we lovingly restored to become a 6 capacity dog friendly holiday let in 2024. The building began life as a school house and went on to become a number of businesses, the last of them a pet shop that we now own and run. Further ventures include an old ice cream shop serving ices and confectionery, all on the doorstep of 1 Station Road.

Farthing Cottage 1 Bedroom

Farthing Cottage is a quaint old farm workers cottage that has been brought back to life with a full renovation. It is situated in the quiet village of Satley where there are some beautiful walks. Local attractions are Hall Hill Farm, Beamish Museum, Hownesgill Tea Rooms, Hamsterly Forest, Chopwell woods, Bowes Museum and Raby Castle to name just a few.

The Annexe

The Annexe is self contained at the rear of Pontop Hall with its own single parking space. The Hall is a grade 2* Listed Building, built as early as 1600. Recently restored the property has all the modern comforts you would expect in a home. You can enjoy a tranquil environment with some excellent walks on your doorstep and in the local area.
