It is set on 12 acres with a river running through it and a tumbling waterfall right by the cottage. Only 15 minutes drive to Donegal town, which has some really nice restaurants and bars. Delightful, listed, 250 year old thatch cottage named after the famous explorer Eduardo-Alfred Martel is famous for charting Marble Arch cave system. Local Folklore claims that Martel resided within this beautiful cottage in 1895 during his Caving adventures. Suitable for walkers, climbers & fishermen. The cottage is heated by oil and lovely range cooker. With an electric fire in the lounge. Please be aware that the cottage does not have WiFi or terrestrial tv, but has a tv and dvds.
