Located off W Bear Lake Road between Grayling and Kalkaska with Bear and Cub lake 5 minutes down the road. 1.5 miles from ORV 79 & 76 trails.

From the moment you arrive at our cozy riverside cabin you'll feel right at home. During your stay you'll love that you can walk next door and and rent tubes, kayaks, and canoes at a discounted price. Shel-Haven Rentals will drive you to the landing and you relax and enjoy your float back to your cabin. Enjoy walking out onto the back deck and unwinding in the newly added hot tub as you watch the beautiful river flow by. Enjoy nature and wildlife. And go fishing right out your back door.

Lake Cottage to make Memories

A Perfect cottage if you enjoy being on the beach. We rent our Cottage weekly. The cottage is situated on the beach of Manistee Lake. You will have unobstructed views of the lake from inside your cottage. Watch the breath taking sunsets from inside your cottage, on the patio, on the beach, or on your dock. Bring your water toys and attach them to your dock. The cottage is perfect for your summer vacation. Play in the water during the day and enjoy a nice glass of wine by the fire at night.

The A-Frame at Finch Creek - Secluded w/ Hot Tub

Welcome to the A-frame at Finch Creek. A one-of-a-kind Northern Michigan getaway overlooking Finch Creek and completely surrounded by the Grass River Natural Area. We renovated this 1970s cabin from the ground up and designed it to feel open and connected to the landscape. With 20-foot vaulted ceilings, massive picture windows, a fireplace to curl up next to, and just minutes from some of the most stunning lakes in the state, it’s the perfect home base for exploring or doing nothing at all.

Jack’s Place

Welcome to Jack's Place! This fully renovated cottage is located just outside of Kalkaska. It shares beach access to our sandy Manistee Lake and is located in a quaint cottage community. ORV's/Snowmobiles are welcome as trail systems are easily accessible from your front door. Parking for 3 vehicles and a truck/trailer combination. Main floor is open concept that leads to a wrap around deck with BBQ gas grill. The basement is finished with two twin beds, futon, pool table. Laundry room.

The Bear Cub Aframe

We have a beautiful built 1000 sq ft Aframe! Recently installed a 100 inch theater system in the livingroom! Cabin is in Lakes of the North, which offers a perfect getaway for the outdoorsman. Side by Side trails! We offer 2 kayaks to use (must transport) cornhole boards & bags, trail riding your UTV/ORV, hiking, rafting at Jordan Valley Outfitter, snowmobiling. & many fine dining restaurants, several ski resorts and short day trips! Additionally, a 90 jet hottub for ultimate relaxation!
