Take it easy at this unique and tranquil log cabin hand built by my grandfather and father from cypress trees pulled straight out of the Louisiana swamps. Escape the city & enjoy the serenity of the country life. Located 15 minutes from Monticello and 25 minutes from Brookhaven. Dollar General located 3 miles away & a country store with fuel 1.5 miles away. This fully furnished 2/1 currently has 1 full size & 1 queen size bed and 5’ shower(not a full tub). Smoking is allowed OUTSIDE ONLY!

Our cabin is the perfect getaway to enjoy nature, coffee on the front porch or a cocktail on the upstairs deck, a ride in the woods or a swim in the freshwater creeks. It is a great place to enjoy a romantic weekend, or a vacation with the kids and your pets for outdoor adventures which include hiking or biking the many trails and ravines, or capturing images of birds and other wildlife with your camera. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen for gourmet cooking and dining on the front porch.

The Haven is the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature or have a good time with friends. Our 5 bedroom home sits on 45 acres of woodland with a 12 foot inground salt water pool. Unwind on the deck. Hike the trails into the forest and down to the creek. Play pool, air hockey, or ping pong in our balcony game room. Hang out in the pool or in the great room which has 3 couches, 2 recliners, and lots of space to spread out. And leave feeling refreshed and ready to get back to life.

Imagine leaving the beaten path far enough to get away from it all and yet close enough to be able to come back quickly if need be. Here you can leave the cyber world, nagging phones and main stream media's daily dose of toxins behind. If secluded, peaceful and restful is your destination then come grab a chair on the back porch, pour a beverage and indulge yourself with enjoying the simple laid back life.

Thunder Ridge —Entire House pet-friendly near NOLA

Thunder Ridge at the Forest Retreat is an adults-only pet-friendly getaway. Children may come only during specific holidays. Your house will be unlocked. Check-in is a 3 p.m. Here you are surrounded by the Homochitto National Forest. Take a picnic to the sand-bars along the pristine spring-fed creek. Hike or mountain bike on the remote forest roads. Serene Camp Cabin

The Camp Cabin is our smallest retreat situated in a small knoll in a bend of the creek. Reminiscent of a fishing camp, with nicer furnishings of course, you will feel right at home with its full kitchen, bath and single bedroom. There's an 8 x 14 covered front porch and an open 12 x 14 back porch leading down to the creek. It is 400 sq. ft. of living area with a futon in living rm. Designed for up to 4 people this quaint cabin should aspire to couples and our budget minded guests.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway located amid long-standing pines and on Louisiana's only tea farm. The perfect space for a get-away, this gorgeous cabin features bunk-beds, a twin bed and a separate queen bedroom. Sip your morning tea out on the pond under the gazebo as geese, ducks and turtles swim by or under the veranda covered in jasmine! My place is close to Okissa Lake, Clearsprings Recreational area, city of Natchez, and the Natchez Trace.. it is only 2 1/2 hours from New Orleans, or less than 2 hours from Baton Rouge. You’ll love our place because the property is located in the middle of the Homochitto National Forest. It is secluded and quiet. No plane, train, or automobile noise.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
