The Lodge at Woodend

A lovely detached house, with two bedrooms (bedroom 2 has a super-king bed or 2 single beds), bathroom with shower, full kitchen, dining area and lounge with wood burning stove. Accessed by a spiral staircase your space comprises 2 bedrooms for 4 people over two floors in a private wing of the castle with bathroom and small sitting room. Full breakfast included. Set in the foothills of the Cairngorm National Park, this is an ideal stop off between Inverness and Edinburgh. Balmoral Castle, Dunnottar Castle, Glamis Castle and St Andrews are nearby. 2 1/2 is situated in the quiet village of Aboyne, the gateway to the Cairngorms National Park. This self-contained house is bright and welcoming, has an open plan living area, log burning fire, garden space and free Wifi. Hill walk, wild-swim or mountain bike straight from the door. We offer a bike wash station and secure lock up for your bikes. Play golf or visit our local distilleries. Discover Royal Deeside's rich history. What ever you plan for your break, come back and relax at 2 1/2.

Comfortable, dog-friendly steading conversion

Coshelly Steading is on the edge of Rothienorman, a village with a pub, a Chinese, an excellent Morrisons Daily shop and a Zero Waste shop, all about 10 minutes walk from the house. It is a newly converted steading, attached to our house and surrounded by fields. Plenty of parking, WiFi, TV etc. Dogs are welcome. There are mountains, the coast and many castles, all within easy driving distance and plenty of pleasant walks nearby. Free range eggs from our chickens, when they are in the mood.

Our guests will have full use of the self-contained former "Servants Quarters" & we promise not to ring the bell expecting you to bring us G&T!
