Centrally located between Des Moines and Iowa City, with easy access to I-80, this is the perfect spot to experience Brooklyn's charm and history.

The Prayer Cabin

The Prayer Cabin is located at Lake Red Rock outside of Pella, IA. The cabin Is an Earthen/Berm home located on a 1 acre lot in a quiet & clean neighborhood. The lot boasts a wooded valley with many birds and squirrels to watch. The Prayer Cabin was recently remodeled with a brand new kitchen and bathroom. Our first guests asked us if Chip and Joanna were the creators of the design. 💚 Navy Blue cabinets, Tons of white shiplap and open shelving. Peaceful. A place of respite and relaxation.

Three blocks to downtown Pella, 1 1/2 blocks to West Market Park, 2 blocks to Central football, baseball and softball complex. Enjoy the cottage charm with two private bed and bath suites, a family room with dining, full kitchen, front and side porch, laundry and large back yard. Off-street parking in the back. Located on a beautiful homestead in the 'Bohemie Alps.' Walk up the hill to our 24' yurt, set with beautiful views overlooking the farm and Iowa countryside. Furnished with 2 full/queen beds, pull out couch, clean linens and towels. Set up with electricity and temp control. A true glamping experience in the heartland. With breathtaking country views out every window you are sure to find this country retreat relaxing and enjoyable with many things to do close by like fishing, hiking, and a bike trail. Cute little towns to explore or cuddle up with a book & enjoy relaxation that comes with a deep breath in the country. Come as a family, some couples, or a little getaway, this home sleeps 7.

The Lincoln Highway Hideaway

The Lincoln Highway Hideaway is a studio apartment nestled in Belle Plaine along the historic Lincoln Highway. A former Maid Rite restaurant, it features two queen-sized beds, a 3/4 bathroom with shower, and private parking. We focus on short term stays, although we sometimes rent a month at a time to traveling workers. (Please message me ahead of time with details if this situation pertains to you.) We offer a 15% discount/week. 40% per month.

My loft is in the heart of the City of Grinnell and close to The Strand Movie Theatre, Grinnell Craft Brewhouse, Grin City Bakery, many restaurants and McNally's Grocery Store. It is walking distance to Grinnell College, Central Park and most of the amenties offered by our City. A private parking space is provided for guests.

Our little cabin in the woods is a great place for couples to relax, reflect and connect. Nestled on 115 acres of land, there are many trails to explore throughout the woods. Enjoy watching wildlife, laughing around a fire, sitting on the front porch watching the sunset, reading, playing games, and stargazing.
