Mevy, A Victorian Slip Coach

Award-winning beautifully converted Victorian railway carriage. Mevy is sumptuous, with gilded maple and mahogany panels, velvet upholstery and a roll top bath. Family and allergen friendly, we can provide a cot and high chair on request. Mevy sleeps five, but two bunks are only 5'7" so only for smaller people. Lovely view over rolling hills. Mevy has all mod cons but is very eco friendly - Railholiday have won numerous national and local awards for our green approach . Sorry, no pets in Mevy.

Our cosy horse-drawn wagon offers the perfect off-grid escape, surrounded by 100 acres of deciduous woodlands and wild meadows. We are a working smallholding, dedicated to creating a space where humans and nature can thrive together, increasing biodiversity, and making the most of the beautiful natural landscape of Devon. Cook on an open fire, spend your evenings relaxing and stargazing in the outdoor fire-heated bath, and try your hand at bird spotting – there’s plenty of wildlife to be seen!

Out in the countryside, disconnected from the bustle of city life, this is the horse box that we used to go to shows all over the country. New for 2024 - an off grid hot tub! Set in idyllic pet friendly countryside with private access through the woods, yet 2 minutes drive to Bideford; or 10 minutes cycling along the Tarka Trail. Fenced and Dog-safe plus full central heating, to allow you to experience the countryside in comfort. The horse lorry comfortably sleeps 4, or 6 if you are adventurous

Big Blue has a modern feel to the conversion, from her working life as a 7.5 tonne horse lorry to a unique and memorable place to stay. Big Blue has incredible graffiti art on her side and is parked up in her own young Orchard over looking a stunning valley view. Adjoining Big Blue is your own private wood burning hot tub, set on the edge of woodland with a stunning view too. Bertha the shower trailer gives an indoor outdoor feel as you shower. A handy perk is that Big Blue has an ensuite loo.

Pentargon view, Boscastle

Pentargon View is a charming touring caravan situated on our small, family-run campsite. The best of both worlds: breathtaking sea views and serene countryside landscapes. A peaceful retreat. Our location is ideal for exploring the beautiful North Cornwall coast. The historic village of Boscastle, with its picturesque harbor, quaint shops, and cozy pubs, is just a five-minute drive away. The coastal path is only a short walk from the campsite, offering spectacular hikes with amazing views.

Cosy romantic vintage 1960s caravan

Enjoy the lovely setting of this quiet romantic spot, surrounded by nature. Long walks through the woods to the beach and dramatic coastal paths of the north Cornwall coast. Lie back in the evenings looking up at the stars in front of the campfire. The caravan is set in its own small field. Powered by solar electric and gas. Heater for cooler evenings. Well equipped with fridge, gas hob, crockery etc. It is rustic with a camping loo, and hot outdoor shower Well behaved dogs welcome.

Old Parlour: Dog-lover’s peaceful/private caravan

Our static caravan is situated in the old parlour of our 16th Century home. Surrounded by beautiful views and countryside- it is quiet, private and rural. We are a little ‘off-grid’ - perfect place to read, see dark skies full of stars, have starlings swoop overhead and sleep in total peace. We are very dog and family-friendly here too- pets are allowed inside, there’s a private garden and access to a fully enclosed paddock to run around in off-lead/play footie. Kids are free to roam!

Private Lakeside Double Decker Bus

The bus has travelled over half a million miles, only to wind up here. I converted it during lockdown #2, and spent a few months living in it last winter, lighting many fires and seeing the occasional otter. The space is solely yours, in a little woodland nook hidden a field deep from the road, you won't see anyone or visa versa. It's also fully fenced, for your pets to enjoy a run around. Both the coast and the relative wilderness of Dartmoor are 30 mins away. Enjoy some stars ✌🏻

Airstream Caravan

Excella, our classic 80's American Airstream is beautifully restored and very spacious (sleeps up to 5) . The bedroom has a double bed, sink, shower, wardrobe and storage space. The living area has a fully equipped kitchen, fridge, cooker, log burner, sofa bed and seating area which also converts to another bed. There is an adjacent flushing toilet and a large decking area out front, perfect for sunbathing, star gazing and cocktails!.

Unique woodland caravan on the edge of Dartmoor

A beautifully renovated and painted vintage 1960s caravan set in a secluded meadow surrounded by trees, a gentle stream and abundant flora and fauna. Guests have the whole area to themselves so it feels like your own private retreat in nature. The caravan can sleep 2 people in a double bed. There is a simple field kitchen for preparing meals and a fire pit for chilly evenings. There is a compost toilet and woodland hot water shower.
