Our cottage sleeps 5-6 and is nestled in the Cotswold escarpment below Rodborough Common with over 300 acres of open countryside giving dramatic views over Stroud and the Severn Vale. Off the beaten track but only a short walk to Stroud. A great place to stay anytime of the year but with a woodburner it is very cosy in the winter. Only 1.5hrs by train from London. Loads of good walks nearby inc Cotswold Way. Short drives to Bristol, Cirencester, Gloucester and Cheltenham. Highchair,cot, stairgate available.

Panoramic views of the Stroud valleys fresh air, wild life, hill walks and woodlands. Thirty minutes walk across the fields or eight minutes by car from Stroud, which has a great Saturday morning market, coffee shops and art spaces We have festivals most weekends from May through to end of September. If you want to see something unique, the annual Cheese Rolling Competition is held at the end of May on Cooper's Hill, four miles away. People working away from home are always welcome.

There are amazing walks along the Cotswold Way which goes through the village. There are stunning bike rides in the area and we provide a very secure bike shed to store your bikes. The tastefully renovated and secluded accommodation is the former Servants' Quarters on the top floor accessed by the original 1600s stone staircase. It really is “Downstairs Upstairs” with two en suite double bedrooms (Hudson & Bridges) and each can be made up with either King Size or Twin beds. This is an idyllic location with stunning views but many amenities and attractions are within walking distance.

Our space is a self contained studio with a bed, sofa, workspace and air con, light and airy it is the ideal base to explore the Stroud Valleys. N.B. THERE IS BUILDING WORK ON OUR HOUSE, THE ANNEXE IS A SEPARATE BUILDING BUT CLOSE TO OUR HOUSE. WORK WILL BE MON-FRI ONLY, BUT THERE WILL BE BUILDING MATERIALS AND MESS IN THE GARDEN. The interior of the annexe will be unaffected, but we have reduced the price to reflect the substandard exterior. Please only book if you understand this.

The Garden Studio Graywalls Stroud

5 mins walk from Stroud train station, the wood clad Garden Studio is airy and modern and surrounded by green. It overlooks our garden, and apart from the trains (only 2 an hour) it’s peaceful but also so close to the pretty hilly town of Stroud. The bustling farmers market on a Saturday is a great fun and the commons and walks are spectacular. There is parking on our drive. To get to the studio walk down the gravel pathway past our front door. The key hold is by the studio door.
