Sunset Lodge – Your Home Away from Home Tucked away in a quiet street of Hardwicke Bay is this sensational beachside cabin. Enter the side gate and you’ll be just a short walk to the shores. The space comes fully furnished and so well equipped, all you really need are your clothes! Have a boat? Bring it along! There’s plenty of secure parking on site. With the beach so close, water activities like fishing, squiding, kayaking, snorkelling and swimming are just right on your doorstep. Explore the rockpools upon sunrise and watch the tides come in at sunset while you sip on a wine or two with uninterrupted views. Enjoy dinners cooked over the barbeque with the complimentary hot plate available on deck or head to one of the many local eateries like Caffé Primo in nearby Minlaton or the Tavern on Turton in the popular town of Point Turton, both approximately 15 minutes drive away. Featuring 3 spacious bedrooms consisting of: – · a queen bed with ocean views in room 1 · a queen bed with baby cot in room 2 · and 2 sets of single bunks ideal for children & teens in room 3 All rooms have the added comfort of ceiling fans, while room 3 has also been thoughtfully equipped with books, toys and lamp lights fitted above the upper bunks for your kids to snuggle up with reading for some down time. Each room comes with quilts and covers, as well as pillows. You only need to bring your own sheets and pillow cases. The house also has a washing machine and dishwasher for your convenience. And besides towels, everything else is covered! No matter what time of the year you visit the reverse split system A/C unit in the main lounge will keep you cool and cosy on those hot summer days and cold wintery nights. Sit back and relax with a movie on the DVD player with lots of family friendly options to choose from or pop on some tunes using the mini stereo. And if you’d prefer some screen free fun, help yourself to the collection of board games. Experience the joy of staying in an off grid solar powered house. This modern light filled 2 bedroom house with open plan living area offers spectacular ever changing views down the valley and across the sea to Kangaroo Island. The house stands alone on 2.5 acres. Secluded and private country property with 'walled' secret garden, olive grove, orchard, native and exotic trees. Generous living area with polished wooden floors throughout, a cook's kitchen and floor to ceiling glass doors. The main bedroom opens onto the deck and the garden beyond or the stars above. Enjoy the hot water outdoor shower under the sun or stars. (yes, we do also have an indoor shower) Watch the wildlife - native birds, kangaroos and the occasional echidna through the floor to ceiling picture window. There is also a resident family of hares. A short drive to Morgans Beach at Cape Jervis, Second Valley and Rapid Bay beaches. Discover the varied walks within Deep Creek Conservation Park with its stunning coastal scenery, or explore beyond to Tunkalilla, Waitpinga and Parsons Beaches along Range Rd to Victor Harbor. Visit the beautiful Raywood Nursery growing and selling exotic and native plants 5mins away on Tappanappa Rd, with a 1000yr old Grass tree in the carpark growing near the carpark. Closed Tuesday & Wednesdays. We have a dam on the property, which may or may not have water, so parents with young children will need to supervise them at all times.
