I am an artist, mother of two sons and a grandmother. I live in the house in Hvalfjörður and I have my studio there as well.
I spend a lot of time in the capital area and I love the contrast between the city life and living in Hvalfjörður in all of it´s glory.
What fascinates me about this type of accommodation is that people get opportunity to stay in an icelandic home and get different experience for the country and its residents. The house is not always available for renting but when you stay, you have the whole house to yourself.
