The Mokepilly apartment is located in the Macedon township at the base of Mount Macedon. The one-bedroom apartment is surrounded by an established garden and features an extensive living and dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen, a large bedroom with a queen-size four-poster bed, a study nook with a diverse collection of books, and a modern bathroom with a shower and one-person spa bath.
We love the Macedon Ranges and look forward to welcoming you to this wonderful part of Victoria.
The Mokepilly apartment is a spacious, comfortable base from which you can explore the unique and diverse Macedon Ranges region. It's a place to rest and recharge with a glass of local wine and complimentary Netflix, a place to settle down on the huge sofa with a good book from the collection provided, and a place to enjoy a home-cooked meal on the deck overlooking the pond and front garden.
The apartment is perfect for one or two adults, and we are happy to welcome guests traveling with infants or toddlers - with space for a port-a-cot in the bedroom and a bath, the apartment easily accommodates little ones.
We have furnished the Mokepilly apartment with careful consideration for the comfort and enjoyment of our guests whom we encourage to make the most of their stay by enjoying the many amenities of the space - a fully-equipped kitchen with complimentary Nespresso pod coffee, a Smart TV with Netflix and a DVD player, free Wi-Fi, a one-person spa bath and laundry facilities.
The garden at Mokepilly has been twenty-seven years in the making, and is, like all gardens, still a work in progress. It’s managed on a ‘when time permits’ basis and features a large collection of rare and unique plants, a productive vegetable garden and a rose garden boasting over one hundred varieties including many highly fragrant and very beautiful David Austins. A few French Delbards and some Hybrid Teas have snuck in too!
When the garden is in bloom, we'll endeavour to leave you with some fresh flowers to enjoy during your stay and to take home with you so that your time at Mokepilly lasts just that little bit longer.
We absolutely love sharing the Macedon Ranges with new and returning visitors so we hope you'll choose Mokepilly as your home-away-from-home for your stay in the region.
On arrival, you will be met by your host who will offer you a tour of your accommodation and provide keys for your stay. While the apartment is connected to the main house by a long corridor, the entrances to both spaces are secured by locking doors. The main entrance to the apartment is separate from that of the main house so you will have complete privacy during your stay. If you have a car, you will be able to conveniently park right next to the entrance to the apartment.

During the warmer months (October – April) the Macedon Ranges is classified as a significantly bushfire-prone area and the safety of our family (including fur-children) and guests is our utmost priority during this time. All guests visiting during the fire season are encouraged in download the VicEmergency app, the official Victorian Government app for access to relevant and tailored emergency warnings and information in Victoria. Please note that as conditions can change at short notice, we do reserve the right to cancel bookings and/or ask you to check-out early on days of ‘Extreme’ or ‘Code Red’ fire danger – this is simply a matter of safety and you will only be asked to leave early if safe to do so.
I'm a twenty-something tertiary education recruitment and marketing professional with a study background in political science, international relations and development. I have the absolute privilege of living in one of Victoria's most beautiful and dynamic locations, the Macedon Ranges, where I host an Airbnb, the Mokepilly Apartment, on my parents property in Macedon. I love gardening and growing David Austin roses, riding my horse Frodo, watching movies, exploring nature and hanging out with family and friends over Pimms or a good craft gin. My own travels have included Papua New Guinea, Southern Africa (Botswana, South Africa, Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe), Japan, Thailand and a number of Australian destinations including lots of adventuring in Far North Queensland.
