Ceol Na Mara, Gaelic for ‘music of the sea’, is a 6 bedroom hostel-style guesthouse located on the beautiful shoreline of Broadford Bay. Each double/twin bedroom has a sink and a lock on the door. There is a large shared kitchen as well as a living room, dining room, and two shared bathrooms. These spaces are shared with other guests so we cannot guarantee cleanliness at all times. The house and décor are quite old – we are not a high end place!!! – simple and homely.
Great base for those on a budget accessing all Skye has to offer. Broadford is the second largest settlement on Skye with a large supermarket and petrol station a short distance away.
The house has lots of shared spaces and is run more like a hostel with private rooms than a traditional guesthouse, it has a well appointed kitchen with everything needed for cooking a good meal. There is a living room with great sea views and spectacularly colourful sunsets and dining room with plenty spaces for lots of guests, Out the back of the house there is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble drier and lots of space outside to hang up washing.

Pets are welcome, as are children, and if you are travelling as a group have a look at our other listings for other rooms in the house. The kitchen, bathrooms and living room are all shared with other guests. While we give the whole house a clean each afternoon and evening the spaces are only as clean as other guests leave them. As we don't charge a cleaning fee we would kindly ask that you leave all rooms clean and tidy. There are plenty cleaning supplies in the kitchen under the sink.
- Smoking only outside the house away from the front door.
- Strip the bed of linen when leaving and clean the room.
- Quiet hours between 11.30 and 6am
