In the heart of the truffle country, the elegant castle of Laubertie is located in the middle of the countryside on a limestone plateau in the “Périgord Blanc”.
You will be captivated by the beauty of the castle, the refinement of the decoration and the incredible changing light of this special place. Lovers of painting, picturing, drawing or simply dreaming will be charmed.
You will surely have a lunch or a dinner under the centenary beech, you will saunter in the park's paths, you will wander in the paths of the woods and then read under the shadows of the trees, the kids will play to hide-and-seek, you will be touched by the couple of squirrels jumping from branch to branch... and it not rare that, at the sunset, deers and stags go out from the woods to wander in front of you.
The castle is located three kilometers away from the small village of Sorges, (worldwide!) capital of truffle. During the harvest period (December and January) there is each Sunday morning a truffle market which is very animated and with a really specific atmosphere. Besides the harvest period, you can visit the museum of the truffle that will let you discover this Perigord's speciality. You can also find a bakery, a grocery, a newspaper store, a pharmacy and a hotel-restaurant which is well-known, “L'auberge de la truffe”. You can also buy fresh products directly from the farms around.
Near the ultimate "Tour de France" etap in july 2014.

A very nice place !!!! The castle is surrounded by a park of 2 hectares and near fields and woods of 25 hectares. Its location and its charm will delight you.
This castle built in the 19th century in a neo-classic style shows the taste of this time for the Renaissance period. The coat of arms on the pediment of the tower and on the mantelpiece of the fireplace belongs to the Lasecuras de Lépine family. Near the park, a few meters from the castle, the heated swimming pool (which is perfectly secured) seems covered by the fields of sunflowers or grains according to the seasons.
