I was unable to reach Bee by phone to let her know that our building had lost power. When she arrived and contacted me, I told her that our KCPL power company was doing emergency repairs and we had no idea how long it would take. I told her she would need to find a new place and that I was sorry, the situation was out of our control and that we would refund all her money. I sent her a second message, in response to her inquiry about how long the refund would take, and told her again I was sorry for the inconvenience. We had no choice but to let all our guests know the facility had to be closed and that we would request a full refund for her from Airbnb that same evening. We are glad she was able to find another room with such short notice. This was a very unfortunate experience for all involved. As of today our power is still out and hopefully will be restored by mon, aug 13th We operate a beautiful unique 17 apartment building and had to notify more than 25 guests over the last 3 days that our facility is closed.
