Maddy, I'm glad that you left this review. Before addressing the true elements in the review I would like to point out the actual reasons that y'all were kicked out. You asked me if you could turn the air down, I said absolutely, told you the limit, and asked if that would work for you. You said yes and thanked me. Then, I come home and see you actually disregarded me so there was really no reason for you to ask me in the first place. I'm a little PTSD with the AC because there have been guests who turn it down to the 60s and run up the bill majorly. But that was not a big deal to me. HOWEVER, then I heard your friends saying "Don't forget to turn up the AC before he gets back," meaning you were deliberately trying to hide it from me when you could have just said "hey, we were still uncomfortable so I went ahead and turned it down a little more." I would have understood, but instead you wanted to try and slide one past me. Next up, while you were using another room that you did not rent out, your friends were on watch duty for when I got home soy you wouldn't be caught. When one of them started yelling that I was home but then said "false alarm," you said "Oh thank God, I thought I was going to get in trouble." I was very uncomfortable having someone like that stay in my home for several days. Someone who blatantly did things she thought were wrong and did what she could to try and hide those things... that's the last person I would want in my home, especially considering I have other guests that stay here (which I had already informed you about in the listing of your room). I have to do what's safest for me and others who stay here, which is why Airbnb understood my case and kicked you out. I hope the rest of your time in Austin was fun and you found someplace a bit more accommodating.
