I'm sorry that not having refunded your last night, due to your personal change of plans on the same night, gave you the impression of me being fake or stuck up. The truth is this is a business, we treat everyone with equal respect. Our cancellation policy is strict, which you can see on the listings description. Regardless, I was flexible and told you if the bed you were leaving free that night was booked in the three hours notice you gave me till end of check in that day, I would've refunded you. But how is a bed going to be booked in 3 hours? And what other host would've even been nice enough to give you that night's refund leaving 3 hours before end of check in time? What I did is simply unheard of. So, here I am, thinking I'm going the extra mile to help you out, yet you call me fake?
No, I'm not pompous or fake. I'm someone who enjoys accommodating and helping out. And I take pride in what I do for others.
Maybe you should check your standard of what's fair. Maybe next time you should read the listing well enough and it's cancellation policy to not have unrealistic expectations or think you can do whatever you wants without consequences. Maybe you should be grateful next time with your next host, and value the efforts that are being made for your comfort.
In your private message you said I wasn't fair. Let me explain something (It might be your first time with Airbnb) What isn't fair is a 3 start rating because you didn't get what you unfairly wanted and felt entitled to. What isn't fair is rating a 2 star on accuracy when the listing is absolutely detailed. A 1 star on the check in, when we personally go meet you, greet you and spend time to accommodate you. A 2 star on communication when I replied to all your messages within minutes and even attended you when you come knock on my door to tell me you're suddenly leaving. Unfair is to give 2 stars on value when every single hostel around is half the clean, organized and comfortable than us for the same price, if not more.
I'm a nice guy, but this is a business and what's fair is fair. And what isn't, isn't. Now think twice and tell me that you were fair and I wasn't.
I wish you a great stay in LA and wherever next you might go!
