The two issues raised, sit-down shower and door, are linked to the architecture of our old house, ca 1900. The apartment is the entire attic which is actually quite spacious - but the sloping roof from the centerline of the house preclude 1) installing a stand-up shower and 2) having a solid door in the bathroom. The bathroom door would have to swing into the hallway - and the door quickly encounters the roof sloping down. For this specific reason, we no longer rent to two couples, actively discouraging two-couple rentals. The listing shows the rental is for 3 folks. We do accept four folks when it's a family, usually when there are two children involved. As for the shower, the claw-foot tub is huge and is conducive to a great soak - or a sit-down shower. Thanks for your understanding, Melissa.
