Bijou, comfortable single room garden cabin ( 1 double bed or twins ) with kitchenette and adjoining ensuite shower and WC, set in the middle of an SSSI within the South Downs National Park and accessed by an unmade bumpy track. Please note this is not a village location though pubs are about a 5 minute drive ( walkable with good footwear and a map ! ) A car or bicycles are favourable although we have accommodated hikers overnight.
Re-built 10 years ago, warm and light. Looks out onto the garden and step out the gate straight into Shortheath Common, a gem within the south downs national park. Shower and WC ensuite. Kitchenette. Breakfast table. The bothy is small but well set out.
The bothy has almost everything you need for a humble life with a DVD player and TV and limited, basic WiFi ( not guaranteed) car parking is in the drive. We're only a knock on the door away if anything is needed.

As much as the guest wants and we are only a knock at our door away, someone is nearly always there.

The nature reserve is stunning all year round, the pond is a 10 minute stroll. It is a fifteen minute drive to Jane Austen's old house in Chawton and a similar distance to The Wakes Museum at Selborne, home of the naturalist Gilbert White. Guildford, Winchester and Portsmouth & the south coast are all within 1 hour drive, central London is only 1 hour on the train.
Its a quiet place, smoking outside only, max 2 guests, sorry no animals.
