Fab, five bedroomed, four star Georgian house overlooking the sea, with fine sea views from most of the rooms. It is on the North Devon coast and is perfectly placed for those who enjoy surfing (Woolacombe being the next beach).
The property is in Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast and is perfectly placed for surfing and walking. The town itself has a stunning harbour which is five minutes walk from the house (on the way down!) and has several bars and restaurants, including the acclaimed '11 Quay', owned by Damien Hirst ((URL HIDDEN)
There are five bedrooms, comfortably sleeping ten. The master bedroom has a super king sized bed, two further bedrooms have king sized beds. The large bedroom at the top of the house has twin beds and the smaller room on the first floor has a single bed with an extra single bed on the pull out truckle.
The main entrance leads into an open plan dining room with a large table perfect for seating ten people. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a utility room with a washing machine and dryer and downstairs loo. The sitting room has a wood burning stove and there is a separate playroom (both rooms have TVs and DVDs as does the twin bed room at the top of the house). The family bathroom is large and has a walk-in shower and bath. There is a second bathroom on the first landing with a big shower, and the king size bedroom on the second floor has a further en-suite bathroom.
The garden to the back of the house is terraced with a deck at the top, which has lovely views of Hillsborough and the Tors. The terrace at the front (with all important benches!) is perfect for watching the beautiful sunsets.
Wi-Fi Broadband available and we provide linen and towels. There is gas CH and most importantly a huge hot water cylinder. Outside there is a Weber BBQ, 2 private parking spaces plus additional roadside parking. 4pm arrival time, 10am departure. This is a non smoking house but well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement.

We would be delighted to discuss all the things you can do before you arrive – North Devon is beautiful and perfect for those who love being outdoors….we use the house all the time and are keen surfers so we can give plenty of advice!
We live in London, but long to be at the Captain's House by the coast full time - sadly work dictates otherwise! As a family we love being outdoors, surfing, canoeing, boogie board, cycling and walking - and North Devon is the place. I am a mother of two and my day job is as a Database Consultant.
